Wineries, Dry Creek Valley, Operations, Stainless Steel Tanks, Oak Barrels

Behind the Scenes at the Wineries ~ Stainless Steel, Machinery, & Caves

I took a press trip down to Sonoma County and the Dry Creek Valley from Seattle a few weeks ago. We toured numerous vineyards and visited wineries with unique personalities. I couldn’t help geeking out over the stainless steel tanks, the caves, and the heavy machinery. Whether natural or artificial the warehouse and underground spaces yielded beautiful lighting conditions. The natural light filtering into the warehouse and tasting rooms reflected off of steel and bounced around the spaces. The artificial light in the caves cast warm glows on oak barrels.
