I have discovered a fantastic studio in pioneer square through the Seattle Meetup groups. It has become a great resource for studio rental, workshops, and classes. The workshops include models in costume, professional hair and makeup. The first two Photoshoots I attended were themed: SteamPunk, and Madmen. The most recent workshop focused specifically on lighting. We picked images from magazines and working with the tools available in the studio we tried to replicate the lighting. It was fun, exciting, really challenging and a great way to spend an evening. Here are some images from the Workshops:

Mad Men is a tv show I have not seen (I don’t watch tv much) Set in 1960s New York, the sexy, stylized and provocative AMC drama Mad Men follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the sell.
